Shelter Canadian Properties Limited is a private Canadian corporation which is beneficially owned by the family of Arni Thorsteinson. The company was established in 1990 and is the successor to various Canadian real estate companies which have been in operation since 1947. Shelter's corporate Head Office is located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

The company employs approximately 300 administrative, accounting and operational personnel who work at Head Office, the regional offices and on site at the rental, condominium and commercial properties, which are managed by the Corporation.

The overall objective of the company is to provide its clients with excellent investment opportunities which are supported by comprehensive fee and asset management services. As of October 1, 2005, Shelter Canadian Properties Limited, in conjunction with its U.S. equivalent, Shelter American Holdings, Inc., is responsible for the management of more than 130 multi-unit rental, condominium, commercial and hotel properties, comprised of almost 9,000 suites and in excess of 6 Million square feet of commercial space…a portfolio valued in excess of $1.2 Billion under administration.
