Janice Braun is the Senior Manager – Financing & Budgeting for Shelter Canadian Properties Limited.

In her position, Janice is responsible for the overall mortgage financing process, including preparation of the initial proposal, negotiation of final mortgage terms, coordination and control of the legal and closing process and the day-to-day administration of mortgage loans for residential and commercial properties located throughout Canada and the United States. Janice is also responsible for overseeeing the budgeting process in regard to the commercial, multi-family rental, condominium, retirement and hotel properties which comprise the portfolio of Shelter-managed properties.

Janice joined Shelter in 1980 and has held a variety of management positions with Shelter Canadian and its predecessor company, Shelter Corporation of Canada Limited, including Assistant to the Corporate Controller, Supervisor - Project Accounting and Supervisor – Financial Reporting. Janice assumed the responsibilities of Manager – Mortgage Administration & Budgeting in 1987 and became Senior Manager - Financing & Budgeting as of June 1, 2006.

Prior to joining Shelter, Janice worked in various accounting positions with Fort Garry Trust Company and Westfair Foods.

Janice obtained her Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation in 1981.
